A quick hop on the scales shows that yes, I did gain weight (curse Grandma for stuffing me full of food!<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"smile\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mikekirk.org\/images\/general\/smiley.gif\" \/>)<\/p>\n<p>I had a <strong>lot<\/strong> of fun driving around on the neighbours (thanks Fred!) quad. My long-time friend Jamie took time out on Boxing day to show me some local trails (that&#8217;s him on the right on the blue quad):<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mikekirk.org\/images\/general\/james_and_mike_on_quads.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Vroom!\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mikekirk.org\/images\/general\/thumb-james_and_mike_on_quads.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center> I think we covered over 70km in a couple hours. I can&#8217;t wait to go back in the summer and do the same route in the mud.
